My Rite Aid Shopping Trip

by kim on Tuesday, October 16th, 2012

I am soooo delighted with my shopping trip. My total out of pocket was $45.97 and I got back $39.50 in ups and will also send for a $6 mail in rebate! That means I paid $.47 for all of this:

1 Package of Blistex Moisture Melt Lip Balm

1 Package of Robitussin

1 Package of Advil

8 Packages of Ricola Cough Drops

2 Pairs of No Nonsense Socks

2 Packages of Rite Aid Brand Paper Towels (8 packs)

2 Purex Laundry Soaps

4 Summers Eve Products

3 Packs of Trident Gum

2 Packs of Stride ID Gum

Now, I want to let you know that I love Rite Aid and shop there each week. I get so in addition to coupons, I also get 20% off many of the items I buy. This is usually how a Rite aid shopping trip goes for me. One tip that I will give you about Rite Aid:  ask the cashier (or call customer service like i did) to switch you back to having paper ups to print at the bottom of your receipt. The ups you have on your card come off BEFORE any coupons. For example, you have $5 in ups on your loyalty card, you buy $10 in product and have $8 in coupons. Instead of taking the $8 in coupons and $2 in ups the register takes $5 in ups FIRST and only $5 worth of your coupons. I hope I am explaining this well. You just lost $3 in ups that you could have covered with coupons. This only happened to me ONCE! Then i switched back to paper.

Target Shopping Trip 3/28/12

by kim on Wednesday, March 28th, 2012

I haven’t done one of these in awhile.  I do shop and often. I think it is more an issue of me getting the photo and uploading it to my computer from my phone. Anyway, there are a great number of manufacturer’s coupons out right now for toys.  Target has also released a similar wave. Seeing you can use one manufacturer coupon and one Target coupon on the same item, you could imagine that there are some pretty sweet deals to be had… just in time for Easter.

I bought the Play-Doh: Swirling Shake Shoppe for $9.99 (on price cut)
Used the $3/1 Play-Doh Select Toy Target store coupon found here
Plus, the $3/1 Play-Doh Swirling Shake Shoppe Playset or 24 pack coupon found here or in the 3/25 Playsaver Insert
Final cost only $3.99!

I bought Cootie for $7.79
Used the $3/1 Chutes & Ladders, Candyland, Cootie, or Memory Board Game Target store coupon found here
Plus, the $3/1 Candy Land, Chutes & Ladders, Cootie or Memory Game coupon found here or in the 3/25 Playsaver Insert
Final cost only $1.79!

~Spend $10 on Hasbro Games = FREE Hasbro Card Game~
I bought Yahtzee Flash for $15
I also bought a Monopoly Card Game for $6.89 (here in NY)
Total = $21.89
Minus $6.89 (FREE Card Game from Target promotion thru 3/31)
Used the $5/1 Scrabble Yahtzee or Simon Flash Target store coupon found here
Plus, and the $5/1 coupon found here or in the 3/25 Playsaver insert
Paid$5 for both games!

I bought Hasbro Battleship for $10
I also bought Scrabble Slam Card Game for $6.89
Total = $16.89
Minus $6.89 (FREE Card Game from Target promotion thru 3/31)
Used the $3/1 Operation, Battleship, or Twister Game Target store coupon found here
Plus, and the $3/1 coupon found here or in the 3/25 Playsaver insert
Paid $4 for both games!

My total was off or I’d show the receipt. I will tell you now…watch your cashiers. I was charged for 2 lunchables and only bought one! Not only do you (sometimes) get a hard time using coupons…now they are adding to your bill instead of reducing it with coupons! Glad I caught it before I got my kids out to the car and buckled into their car seats.
